Fastlane Copilot offers a plug-in solution, comprising a hardware box pre-loaded with Fastlane Collector and Fastlane Edge. This solution can be up and running within days to assist vehicle testing rapidly without the need to integrate these software products into the vehicle E/E architecture.
In typical testing methodologies, brute force data loggers are deployed to test vehicles to attempt to capture failure scenarios, which are then painstakingly downloaded after a testing session. Unfortunately, using this approach, data is only provided after the testing is complete and the session may not have captured the relevant failure. Moreover, the cycle of learning is long, requiring follow-on driving sessions. Instead, using the Fastlane Platform, test data can be captured and streamed in real time to test engineers, even in remote locations, and testing and data capture can be rapidly adjusted even within a driving session. This approach can dramatically reduce testing costs and increase test vehicle efficiency and resolve issues in hours or days that would have taken weeks with existing approaches

The Fastlane Platform is highly configurable and portable across an OEM’s preferred IT platforms and cloud providers. Sensitive OEM data is controlled by and remains the property of the OEM. The OEM can decide which IT systems and cloud solutions are used, to ensure the privacy of their sensitive testing data.
Fastlane insight serves as an optimization tool for OEM test engineers, helping them find failures, identify patterns across different subsystems, isolate the root cause, and determine corrective actions more rapidly. It bases its analysis on trusted data sources from the OEM, including complex technical manuals, service records, and other technical details, so the source of its conclusions is always thoroughly documented. Furthermore, because Fastlane Insight can incorporate information from multiple disciplines, it allows test and validation engineers to benefit from knowledge from a range of subsystems to augment their individual expertise.
