Sunnyvale, Calif. – September 8, 2025 – Sonatus, a leading innovator in AI and software-defined vehicle (SDV) solutions, today announced the appointment of Philip Hughes as Chief Revenue Officer. Hughes brings over three decades of executive experience in sales and business development across the automotive sector, encompassing software, semiconductors, and systems. His profound global expertise and extensive network within automotive OEMs, tier-1 suppliers, and their broader ecosystem are poised to significantly enhance Sonatus’s market reach.

Hughes most recently served as VP of Global Sales and Business Development at Luminar, a prominent LIDAR sensor provider. Prior to that, he spent nearly seven years in key sales leadership roles at WindRiver, an embedded software leader, focusing on telematics, infotainment, and ADAS systems. He earlier held the position of Vice President of Automotive Sales and Business Development for NVIDIA’s Automotive Business Unit, where he additionally served as Site Leader of the NVIDIA Technology Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Earlier in his career, he held senior sales roles at Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Kionix, Wintek Corporation, and Optrex America.
